The Brunswick Valley Bulldogs AFL Club is looking to build on the momentum generated in 2017 and field teams in every age category for the northern rivers Junior AFL competition this season.
The long-established club has being revitalised by a bumper management committee and was named ‘2017 Northern Rivers Junior Club of the Year’.
‘This was a testament to last year’s longtime president Stan Stevens and outgoing club secretary Hayley Richards, as well as the hard work of the 2017 committee,’ Rod Spice, junior development officer, said.
This year the ‘Doggies’ want to field teams in all possible age groups for boys and girls.
New president Matt Kane is excited by what the new expanded committee can accomplish in the 2018 season.
‘Our club is a family club built on fun, fitness and sportsmanship and a love of AFL footy. Everybody is welcome.
‘Projects are underway to improve our clubhouse and provide lighting to the ground’.
The club will be holding a sign-on next Saturday February 10 at Banner Park Brunswick Heads (opposite Hotel Brunswick) between 10am and 1pm
